Reading the spec sheet
The engine is the 4.2L 8-cylinder, with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.
Fuel use is rated 11.1 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 33 litres. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $194.30.
What to expect from the A8
As a large sedan, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 425 litre trunk is enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.
Best uses
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.
Renting the A8 from CarmaCars
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
From request to keys
You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
Who can rent
Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
Want a price?
A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
