Driver requirements
You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
Getting the car booked
Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.
Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
