The 1981 Buick Electra: Collision replacement car
For a car while yours is off the road, the 1981 Buick Electra could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it.
The numbers in plain words
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Room inside
A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway.
Good uses for the Electra
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
Our Electra cars
Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
Request, offer, keys
Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.
Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.
The rules, briefly
From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.
Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
Your move
Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.

Can I rent a 1981 Buick Electra in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
