Collision replacement car: the Daewoo Lanos
Searching for collision replacement car? Here is the Daewoo Lanos: what it is like and how to rent it. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.
Reading the spec sheet
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
The Lanos in everyday use
As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city.
When the Lanos makes sense
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
Renting it
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Who can rent
Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
Booking made plain
To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.
The photos on a car's page are of that car. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
Ask us
Tell us your dates and where you want the car, and we will do the rest.

Can I rent a Daewoo Lanos in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $0 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
