The steps

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Rules for renters

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
