What we check
Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.
Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
How booking works
Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $0 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
