Under the hood

Its 2.0L 4-cylinder drives through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Rated at 7.0 L/100 km combined, it needs around 21 litres for a 300 km round trip. At our price setting, it costs about $10.85 to drive 100 km.

Space and size

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. EPA lists 425 litres of luggage space, enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

When the Civic makes sense

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Can you rent one?

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

Booking made plain

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Requirements

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
