Specs, explained

The powertrain here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

The EPA rates it at 9.1 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 27 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $14.11, and a 300 km weekend about $42.33.

Best uses

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Living with the Cherokee

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Can I rent it?

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Licence, age and card

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Getting the car booked

It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
