About the 2012 Lexus GX
If a car while yours is off the road is the plan, the 2012 Lexus GX is worth a look; here is why. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.
What the specs mean
It is powered by the 4.6L 8-cylinder, with four-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.
It is rated at 13.8 L/100 km combined, so budget about 41 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $24.15, and a 300 km weekend about $72.45.
Who rents the GX
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.
Practical details
An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.
Renting this car
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Driver basics
Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
What to expect when you book
Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
One more step
Send a request with your dates, and we will come back with an offer.
