Collision replacement car with this car
Here is the 2012 Lexus HS, for anyone after a car while yours is off the road. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it.
The figures, translated
The 2.4L 4-cylinder hybrid with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Combined fuel use is 6.9 L/100 km: about 21 litres for 300 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $10.70 at our price setting.
When the HS makes sense
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
What the HS is like
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. At 340 litres, the trunk fits about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Can you rent one?
If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
How booking works
You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.
The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
What we check
Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.
Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
