The 2013 Lexus RX: Collision replacement car
Collision replacement car: the 2013 Lexus RX. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it.
Engine and fuel
The 3.5L 6-cylinder hybrid, paired with an automatic (CVT), drives it. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Rated at 8.0 L/100 km combined, it needs around 24 litres for a 300 km round trip. For 1,000 km, budget about $124 at our price setting.
Who rents the RX
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
Inside and out
The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

How to book
A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. You pay when you approve, and only then.
Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
Driver basics
Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
Next step
Tell us your dates and where you want the car, and we will do the rest.
