Collision replacement car and the 2003 Mazda Protege
If you need a car while yours is off the road, read about the 2003 Mazda Protege here, then request it. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.
Reading the spec sheet
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Inside and out
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with.
Best uses
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Getting one from us
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
How it works
Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.
A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
Licence, age and card
We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.
Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
Your move
Look through the cars, choose one, and send a request when it suits you.

Can I rent a 2003 Mazda Protege in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
