The numbers in plain words

The 2.5L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

It is rated 8.1 L/100 km combined: about 24 litres every 300 km. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $37.68 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

What to expect from the Altima

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. In plain terms, its 425 litres of luggage space hold a family's bags for a long weekend.

Can you rent one?

What to expect when you book

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

What we need from you

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

When you know your dates

Find a car you like and ask for your dates.
