Reading the spec sheet

Its 1.6L 4-cylinder drives through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Combined fuel use is 7.1 L/100 km: about 21 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $11.01 per 100 km at our price setting.

Practical details

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. In plain terms, its 708 litres of luggage space hold bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Good uses for the Kicks

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Getting this car from us

Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.

What we check

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

Booking made plain

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
