What the specs mean

Its powertrain is the 6.2L 8-cylinder supercharged with four-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

The EPA rates it at 19.8 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 59 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $34.65, and a 300 km weekend about $103.95.

What the 1500 is like

As a pickup truck, it has an open bed for things that would never fit in a trunk.

Good uses for the 1500

It suits moving day, renovation runs and anything that needs an open bed. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Renting this car

Checking your details

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

Your booking, in three steps

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
