The rules, briefly

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
