Collision replacement car: the 2015 Tesla Model S
Here is the 2015 Tesla Model S, for anyone after a car while yours is off the road. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it.
Under the hood
The electric motor, paired with a 1-speed automatic, drives it. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.
Rated energy use is 21.5 kWh per 100 km. The EPA rates its range at 435 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $32.30.
How big it is
As a large sedan, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 736 litres of luggage space fit bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.
Who rents the Model S
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
Renting it
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
From your dates to the handover
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.
You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
Who can rent
From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
