Collision replacement car: the 2012 Volvo VT
If you need a car while yours is off the road, the 2012 Volvo VT is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.
What the figures tell you
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
Good uses for the VT
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.
What to expect from the VT
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk.
Our VT cars
Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
Rules for renters
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
How booking works
You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.
Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
Over to you
Send your dates and we will reply with a car and a price.

Can I rent a 2012 Volvo VT in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
