Specs, explained

The engine is the electric motor, with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Energy use is rated at 18.6 kWh/100 km, about 56 kWh for 300 km. A full charge is rated for 507 km; plan for less in the cold. Expect about $2.79 per 100 km at our price setting.

Living with the Model 3

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The EPA lists 425 litres for luggage, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.

Good uses for the Model 3

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

Renting it

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.

The rules, briefly

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

How to book

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
