Renting for Java

Java is about 1,072 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

The pages for Tara Village, South Side and Howe cover the areas next door.

Engine and fuel

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Fuel use is rated 7.8 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 23 litres. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $13.65.

Inside and out

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. With 368 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Rent it from us

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner.

Booking, step by step

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Before pickup

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
