Under the hood

It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

At 9.7 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 29 litres of fuel. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $50.91 at our price setting.

Size and space

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic. NHTSA's Canadian figures put it at 4.66 m long. It fits most condo and driveway spots.

Requirements

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
