Driver basics

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

How booking works

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
