About the BYD
Courtesy car and the BYD: the figures first, then how to rent it from CarmaCars. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it.
What the specs mean
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
Best uses
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
In our fleet
We have no BYD on the site right now. Send a request with the model you want, and we look for one for your dates. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
Requirements
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.
Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
How a booking comes together
Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.
Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

Can I rent a BYD in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $0 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
