The steps

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

What to have ready

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
