Courtesy car: the 2021 Jeep Compass North

For a car while yours is off the road, here is what the 2021 Jeep Compass North brings, and how to request one. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.

Java and the Compass

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,933 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

Also close to Java: Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

Engine and fuel

Its powertrain is the 2.4L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

The combined figure, 9.3 L/100 km, means roughly 28 litres for 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $43.26 at our price setting.

The Compass in everyday use

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

When the Compass makes sense

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Renting it

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

The booking steps

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Renting: the basics

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
