Renting the Karma

If you need a car while yours is off the road, read about the Karma here, then request it. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.

Booking in plain terms

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Requirements

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
