    Renting: the basics

    Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

    Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
