The rules, briefly

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

How booking works

The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
