The engine is the electric motor, with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Licence, age and card

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
