Emissions test: how we help
For an emissions test on the 2011 Audi S6, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Details the shop needs
If you have the service history of your S6, have it ready for the shop. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The powertrain to know here is the 5.2L 10-cylinder, with all-wheel drive.
What to send us
You agree everything with the shop before work begins. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop.
A car meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Small things that help
Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
Talk to a person
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
