Emissions test: how we help
Emissions test for your 1981 BMW L7: arranged with a trusted shop, never done by CarmaCars, with a rental if you need one. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Before the shop sees your L7
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
How we help
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
Good habits for your car
Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
A short checklist
If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
Ready when you are
Send a request: the car, the problem and when suits you.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
