Emissions test: how we help
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for an emissions test on the BMW XM we arrange a trusted shop. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your XM and the shop
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts.
What CarmaCars does here
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.
Your rental while you wait
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Between shop visits
Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
What to ask
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
Ready to ask?
Ask, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
Rent a car while yours is in in Toronto
