Details the shop needs
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
Who does what
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
Driving while yours is at the shop
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Between shop visits
Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
Talk to a person
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
