Emissions test: how we help
Need an emissions test for the 1982 Ford CF8000? We arrange it with a trusted shop; the work is never done by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Details the shop needs
If you have the service history of your CF8000, have it ready for the shop. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
How the request works
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
Stay on the road
Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. The rental is priced like any other on our site. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Getting a clear quote
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.
Small things that help
If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
When you know your dates
Describe the problem, and we arrange a trusted shop.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
