Arranging the work for the LN8000
For an emissions test on the Ford LN8000, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your LN8000 and the shop
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
How the arrangement works
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We collect the rental when your car is back. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Before the shop starts
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Small things that help
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
One more step
Describe the problem, and we arrange a trusted shop.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
