Arranging the work for the Taurus
Emissions test for your 2004 Ford Taurus: arranged with a trusted shop, never done by CarmaCars, with a rental if you need one. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your Taurus and the shop
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. The powertrain to know here is the 3.0L 6-cylinder, with front-wheel drive.
The steps
We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
We collect the rental when your car is back. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Good habits for your car
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
Ask us
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
