Arranging the work for the C/K Pickup
For an emissions test on the 1985 GMC C/K Pickup, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
About your C/K Pickup
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts.
What CarmaCars does here
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
Your rental while you wait
We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
What to ask
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
Small things that help
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.
Ready to ask?
Ask us, and we tell you whether we can arrange it.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
