Emissions test: how we help
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For an emissions test on the 1989 GMC C6, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your car, your notes
If you have the service history of your C6, have it ready for the shop. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
Our part and the shop's part
Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. You agree everything with the shop before work begins.
Driving while yours is at the shop
We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Getting a clear quote
Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Between shop visits
Look at the tire tread before long trips. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.
Ready to ask?
A short request starts it: the car, the problem, and when suits you.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
