The 1985 GMC DS: Emissions test
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For an emissions test on the 1985 GMC DS, we connect you with a trusted shop. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Your car, your notes
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. If you have the service history of your DS, have it ready for the shop. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
How we help
Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.
Stay on the road
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. The rental is priced like any other on our site. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Small things that help
Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
One more step
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
