Arranging the work for the FE
Your 1994 GMC FE needs an emissions test? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Your FE and the shop
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. If you have the service history of your FE, have it ready for the shop. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
From request to repair
We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop.
A car while yours is in the shop
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. We collect the rental when your car is back. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Car care, briefly
Look at the tire tread before long trips. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
Getting a clear quote
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.
Still deciding?
Start with the car, the job and your location.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
