Emissions test: how we help
Emissions test for your 1985 GMC NE: arranged with a trusted shop, never done by CarmaCars, with a rental if you need one. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Your car, your notes
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
From request to repair
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Good habits for your car
Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
What to ask
Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
Make a request
Ask us, and we tell you whether we can arrange it.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
