Emissions test: how we help
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For an emissions test on the 1992 GMC NR, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Details the shop needs
Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. If you have the service history of your NR, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
How the request works
We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
Keep moving meanwhile
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Good habits for your car
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
What to ask
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
Questions first?
Ask us, and we tell you whether we can arrange it.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
