Arranging the work for the Value Van
For an emissions test on your 1987 GMC Value Van, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your car, your notes
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the Value Van. If you have the service history of your Value Van, have it ready for the shop.
What CarmaCars does here
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
A car while yours is in the shop
We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
A short checklist
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
Good habits for your car
Look at the tire tread before long trips. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
Talk to a person
Ask us, and we tell you whether we can arrange it.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
