Emissions test: how we help
Your 1991 GMC Value Van needs an emissions test? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your car, your notes
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. If you have the service history of your Value Van, have it ready for the shop.
From request to repair
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.
A rental while you wait
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. The rental is priced like any other on our site. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Small things that help
If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Look at the tire tread before long trips. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
Talking to the shop
If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.
When you know your dates
Tell us the job and the car, and a person replies.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
