Emissions test: how we help
For an emissions test on the GMC WHS, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Your WHS and the shop
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
Who does what
The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
A car meanwhile
We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Good habits for your car
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Look at the tire tread before long trips.
Before the shop starts
Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Make a request
Describe the problem, and we arrange a trusted shop.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
