The GMC WIS: Emissions test
Your GMC WIS needs an emissions test? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Details the shop needs
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
The steps
Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name.
Your rental while you wait
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Getting a clear quote
Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Between shop visits
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
Get an offer
Send the car's details and the job, and we take the next step.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
