Emissions test: how we help

For an emissions test on the 2024 Kia Carnival EX, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

Before the shop sees your Carnival

Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. If you have the service history of your Carnival, have it ready for the shop. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. The engine is the 3.5L 6-cylinder, with front-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic.

The steps

You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.

A car meanwhile

Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

Questions to ask the shop

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.

Small things that help

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.

Let us know

A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
