Emissions test for the 2004 Lexus GX
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For an emissions test on the 2004 Lexus GX, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Your car, your notes
Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the GX. The 4.7L 8-cylinder, paired with a 5-speed automatic, drives it.
Who does what
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
Stay on the road
We collect the rental when your car is back. Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Car care, briefly
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Your move
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
