Emissions test: how we help
Need an emissions test for the 2005 Lexus LX? We arrange it with a trusted shop; the work is never done by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Before the shop sees your LX
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Power: the 4.7L 8-cylinder; drive: all-wheel drive.
What to send us
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Getting a clear quote
Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Good habits for your car
Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.
Your move
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
