Emissions test: how we help
Emissions test for the 2018 Lexus RC: the work is done by a shop we trust, never by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your RC and the shop
If you have the service history of your RC, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, paired with an 8-speed automatic, drives it.
What CarmaCars does here
Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. You approve the shop's quote before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.
A car meanwhile
Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Talking to the shop
Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.
Small things that help
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Look at the tire tread before long trips.
Ready to ask?
Tell us the job and the car, and a person replies.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
